Lookbook Spring Ensembles
It has been almost a year since my last photo shoot as a "model" and for this occasion, I wanted to do it for a purpose rather than just fun. For this particular shoot, I wanted to work with Blue Moon Photography (AKA Lori Manis). After seeing photos that she took with my good friend, Jenny Irvin, as well as photographing my friends... Rachel and Craig's wedding, I wanted to collaborate with this very talented photographer. Her style is somewhat reminiscent to my sister's style of photography, which is what I'm used to, yet she has a creative voice all that is her own. What I was looking for in this shoot was to get away from the usual static posing and put more emphasis on movement. Capturing both those moments in time as well as the free flowing movement of the garments, after all, Spring is the season for fresh new changes and liveliness.
The reason behind this shoot is to enter a contest for the website lookbook.nu. The contest, sponsored by 21Men, Forever 21's men clothing, is currently holding a contest where they are asking their members to come up with their Spring ensemble. Whoever comes up with the best wins a $300 gift certificate.
While I really don't care to win the prize, the contest gave me the motivation and opportunity to come up with several different looks from my wardrobe. The following images will appear on my lookbook page. Feel free to check my lookbook page and "hype: your favorite looks. http://lookbook.nu/user/66678-Marvin-E
For now, here's a sneak preview of what you will see.
